Eugénie Cignaco Therapy and Corporate Training

A website for a Toulouse-based therapist and trainer who supports individuals as well as teams in the workplace. The project had to bring two worlds together on one site without mixing them, and give the client the means to keep it up to date on her own.

The project

Overview

Eugénie Cignaco is a hypnotherapist, EMDR practitioner, coach and corporate trainer in Toulouse. I designed and built her entire website: art direction, page architecture, interface design, development, content integration and launch.

The site is organised around her two activities, each with its own colour and journey, and relies on an editing space that lets her update her text, photos, prices and client references herself, with no technical account and no subscription.

01
The starting point

The challenge

Eugénie works in two fields aimed at audiences that could not be further apart: someone looking for help for themselves, and an HR manager looking for training for their teams. The first needs reassurance, the second needs convincing, and both land on the same home page.

The project also had to deal with a personal subject, content written as the project went along, and videos shot for social media that were far too heavy for a website.

« A turnkey website in just a few days, a very competitive price, professionalism and responsiveness, Sébastien is highly reliable. »
  • Two activities, two audiences with opposite expectations
  • A personal subject that calls for reassurance from the very first screen
  • Companies expecting specifics: formats, durations, funding
  • A client who wants to update her site without a middleman
  • Content written and refined throughout the project
  • Vertical videos of 77 and 85 MB, impossible to publish as they were
02
What I did

The solution

I built the site as a single space with two entrances: a shared identity, and for each activity its own colour, its own vocabulary and its own path to getting in touch.

  1. 01
    Two areas, two colours

I drew two colour families from Eugénie's logo: a deep plum and a soft pink for therapy, a sage green for training. They never mix within the same block. A coloured dot in front of the Therapy and Training menu items, backgrounds that light up in the area's colour on hover, a rule under the current page: colour guides visitors before they even read.

  2. 02
    A calming identity

An elegant serif for headings, with one key word in coloured italics in each main title, a highly legible sans-serif for body text, calm surfaces and fine rules. The tree from the logo appears as a watermark in the headers and footer. The whole design steers clear of both medical and corporate codes.

  3. 03
    Journeys designed for each audience

The home page offers an immediate choice between ‘Pour vous’ and ‘Pour vos équipes’ (for you, for your teams). On the therapy side, the five principles of her approach stack up under their heading as you scroll, each carried by a quotation. On the training side, every training example pre-fills the contact form: Eugénie receives an enquiry that already says what interests the company.

  4. 04
    An independent client

I set up an editing space branded for Eugénie, with every section and instruction in French, accessible with a simple password. She finds each page of her site there, saves, and the live site is updated around fifteen seconds later. Every save is kept and can be restored.

  5. 05
    Light, phone-format videos

I converted her vertical videos for the web: from 85 and 77 MB down to 7 and 4.7 MB, with no visible loss. They are hosted on the site, open in phone format from a button placed on the photo of the Therapy and Training pages, and only load when clicked.

  6. 06
    A restrained, respectful website

No cookies for visitors, no trackers, no third-party scripts. A spam-protected form with no captcha, a secure connection and security headers, images automatically converted to WebP, structured data for search engines, keyboard navigation, and animations switched off for visitors who have enabled their device's ‘Reduce motion’ setting.

03
What changed

The result

Eugénie now has a website that presents both of her professions with the same care, each in its own world, and that she keeps up to date herself day to day.

  • Two distinct journeys from the home page, on a single site
  • An independent client: text, photos and prices edited and live in around fifteen seconds
  • Videos 12 to 16 times lighter, with no visible loss
  • No cookies, no trackers, no third-party scripts
  • Structured data validated without errors by the schema.org validator
  • An experience designed from phone to large screen
